Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 9, 2026

Mind Home Wellness, the naturopathic practice of Dr. Kirsten Vandenheuvel, ND ("we," "us," "our"), operates a virtual practice that serves patients across Ontario and Manitoba. Your privacy matters to us, and we take it seriously as a regulated health professional.

Please read this first: who this policy is mainly for

This policy is in regard to visitors to this website. If you are browsing the site, reading our content, downloading a free guide, or booking a discovery call, this policy explains how we handle the everyday contact information involved in that and how our website advertising and analytics tools work.

You are not a patient simply by using this website. A naturopathic doctor–patient relationship, and any collection of your personal health information, begins only if and when you book and complete a formal intake appointment. The way your health records are handled as a patient is governed by Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004 (PHIPA) and is explained to you directly at that point, separately from this website policy.

In short: this website and its advertising tools never collect or receive your personal health information. This only happens inside an actual appointment with Dr. Kirsten, ND.

Information we collect through this website

When you use this website, we may collect:

- Contact details you choose to give us, such as your name and email address, when you fill in a form, download a resource (like our lab-test guide), or reach out to us.

- Technical and usage information collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the site, gathered through cookies and similar technologies (see below).

This website does not ask for or collect personal health information. Please don't include health details in website forms or messages. Only disclose personal health information in a private healthcare appointment.

Cookies and tracking technologies

This website uses cookies and similar technologies to help the site function, understand how visitors use it, and support our advertising.

We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API. These tools help us measure how our ads perform and reach people who may be interested in our services. They may record general website actions, such as viewing a page or submitting a form.

We never send health information to Meta or to any other advertising or analytics platform. These tools only ever receive generic website actions (for example, "a page was viewed" or "a form was submitted"), with no health context of any kind. Any personal health information you share as a patient stays within your confidential clinical record and is never shared with these platforms.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, and you can adjust your ad preferences within your Meta account. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

How we use your website information

- We use the information collected through this website to:

- Respond to your inquiries and send resources you request, such as our lab-test guide.

- Let you request or book a free discovery call through our booking system.

- Send you communications you've asked to receive, and, with your consent, occasional educational or practice updates. You can opt out at any time.

- Understand and improve how our website and services perform.

- Meet our legal, regulatory, and professional obligations.

A note on patient health records (separate from this website)

If you become a patient, the health information collected during your care, such as your health history, symptoms, lab results, and treatment details, is collected directly from you during your appointments, only as needed to care for you, and is kept as a confidential clinical record under PHIPA. That clinical information is entirely separate from the website and marketing information described above and is never used for advertising.

Consent

For website and marketing purposes: by submitting a form or subscribing, you consent to us using your contact information to respond to you and to send communications you've requested. For marketing messages, we rely on your express consent, and you can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

- Service providers who help us run the practice and website, and who are bound to protect your information, including:

-- GoHighLevel (website, forms, and email),

-- Jane App (discovery-call and appointment booking, and patient practice management),

-- Meta (advertising measurement, general website actions only, never health information),

and any email or analytics providers we use to operate the site.

- When required or permitted by law, or to meet our professional and regulatory obligations.

We remain accountable for personal information handled on our behalf and take reasonable steps to ensure our providers protect it.

Where your information is stored

Some of our service providers, including GoHighLevel and Meta, store or process information on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States. Where that happens, your information may be subject to the laws of those countries. We choose providers that commit to appropriate safeguards. (This applies to the website and marketing information described above.)

How we protect your information

We use reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect your information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and keep our practices current.

How long we keep it

We keep website and contact information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, or as required by law.
