Frequently asked questions
Naturopathic medicine is a whole-person, evidence-based approach to health care. It focuses on identifying the root causes of your symptoms rather than just masking them, and creating personalized strategies that fit your unique body and lifestyle.
As a Naturopathic Doctor, I combine evidence-based medicine with natural therapies, lab testing, and lifestyle interventions to help you reclaim your energy, improve focus, balance hormones, and support your overall well-being.
The goal isn’t just temporary fixes, it’s sustainable health that works in the context of your busy, high-achieving life.
In other words, naturopathic medicine meets you where you are, gives you clarity about your health, and empowers you with the tools to take control and feel like yourself again.
Naturopathic Doctors are trained to treat a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions including:

- Digestive disorders
- Mental health disorders
- Chronic stress/stress management
- Hormonal conditions
- Autoimmune diseases
- Allergies

- And much more!

Yes. Naturopathic treatments are generally safe when guided by a licensed Naturopathic Doctor (ND). NDs undergo rigorous training in evidence-informed therapies and are skilled at identifying potential interactions with medications or other treatments.
As with any type of care, there is always a small risk, but you can expect thorough guidance and full informed consent every step of the way.
A naturopathic appointment is about understanding you; your body, your health history, and the unique challenges you face. During your visit, we’ll dive deep into your symptoms, lifestyle, and lab results to uncover root causes, not just treat surface-level issues.
You’ll leave with clarity, education, and a personalized plan designed to restore your energy, improve focus, balance hormones, and support your overall well-being. Each appointment is tailored to your goals and lifestyle, so you can start making meaningful changes without added stress or confusion.
Absolutely. Naturopathic Doctors often collaborate with medical doctors, specialists, and other health care providers such as chiropractors, physiotherapist, nurse practitioners and more to ensure your care is safe, coordinated, and comprehensive.
I prioritize open communication and work alongside your existing providers when needed, combining the best of conventional medicine with personalized naturopathic care. This way, you get a complete, well-rounded approach to your health, helping you achieve sustainable results while feeling supported every step of the way.
In Ontario, coverage for naturopathic medicine varies depending on your insurance plan. Many extended health benefit plans provide coverage for naturopathic services, but it's essential to check with your insurance provider to determine your specific coverage before booking an appointment.
At some clinics, you may have the option to pay for your appointment through direct billing, while at others, you may need to submit your claim independently for insurance reimbursement. At Mind Home Wellness, we do not currently offer direct billing but will send you a receipt after your appointment that can be submitted to your insurance provider.
The number of appointments varies depending on your unique health goals and the complexity of your case. Most clients can expect between 6–12 months of consistent care, typically spread across 6–12 appointments, to see the best results.
